Gerarda van Kooten
Lawyer
After finishing Law School, with a focus on Private Law (2006), Gerarda worked at the Erasmus University as an academic professor of private law, the law of obligations and property law for three years.
In 2009 she was sworn in as a lawyer. Gerarda received further education at a corporate law and insolvency law firm, where she worked for 13 years.
She gained wide-ranging experience in the field of business procedural law, including issues like the liability of executive and supervisory directors, shareholder disputes, and the liability of advisors, auditors, lawyers and civil-law notaries. She was also engaged in cases concerning complex financing and security interests and their enforcement.
Gerarda transferred to V&A in 2022.
Gerarda is the author of the textbook BoomBasics Aansprakelijkheidsrecht.
